Không Già
Ajarasāsutta

“Vật gì tốt không già?
Vật gì tốt trường cửu?
Vật gì vật báu người?
Vật gì cướp không đoạt?”
“Kiṁsu ajarasā sādhu,
kiṁsu sādhu adhiṭṭhitaṁ;
Kiṁsu narānaṁ ratanaṁ,
kiṁsu corehyahāriyan”ti.
“What’s good because it never gets old?
What’s good when committed?
What is people’s treasure?
What can thieves never take?”

“Giới là tốt không già,
Tín là tốt trường cửu,
Tuệ, vật báu loài Người,
Công đức, cướp không đoạt.”
“Sīlaṁ ajarasā sādhu,
saddhā sādhu adhiṭṭhitā;
Paññā narānaṁ ratanaṁ,
puññaṁ corehyahāriyan”ti.
“Ethics are good because they never grow old.
Faith is good when committed.
Wisdom is people’s treasure.
Merit’s what thieves can never take.”
