Dutiyakassapasutta

Tại Sāvatthi.
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
At Sāvatthī.

Ðứng một bên, Thiên tử Kassapa nói lên bài kệ này trước Thế Tôn:
Ekamantaṁ ṭhito kho kassapo devaputto bhagavato santike imaṁ gāthaṁ abhāsi:
Standing to one side, the god Kassapa recited this verse in the Buddha’s presence:

“Với tâm tư giải thoát,
Vị Tỷ-kheo tu thiền,
Và với lòng ước vọng,
Ðạt được tâm sở nguyện.
Sau khi biết cuộc đời,
Hưng thịnh và phế tàn,
Tâm thuần, không nương tựa,
Hưởng lợi quả như chơn.”
“Bhikkhu siyā jhāyī vimuttacitto,
Ākaṅkhe ce hadayassānupattiṁ;
Lokassa ñatvā udayabbayañca,
Sucetaso anissito tadānisaṁso”ti.
“Suppose a mendicant is a meditator, freed in mind.
If they want to reach the heart’s peace,
having known the arising and passing of the world,
healthy-minded, independent, that is their reward.”
